Common jitter mask tests depend on whether the test is a receiver tolerance test or a jitter generation test.

Jitter generation tests have masks that are made for an Eye-Diagram to test both signal amplitude and signal timing relationships. Tektronix scopes with option SM have a substantial list of standard masks. TDSRTE also has a substantial mask testing capability, with full compliance for PCI-Express, XAUI, Infiniband, SATA Gen1 and Gen2, and SAS available.
